Key Responsibilities
- Support attorneys in litigation, administrative hearings, records requests, policy matters, and public agency work.
- Draft, revise, and proofread pleadings, motions, discovery, correspondence, and memoranda.
- Manage civil discovery, including e-discovery and document production.
- Oversee large-scale document review projects, including organization and data analysis.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries, analyses, and case materials.
- Provide trial and hearing support, including exhibit preparation and logistics coordination.
- Communicate with clients, agencies, and internal teams to support document collection and case needs.
- Maintain organized case files using case management and document management software.
- Meets California B&P Code § 6450 paralegal requirements; bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
- Experience in Education Law, Administrative Law, or public sector matters is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court rules, and administrative processes.
- Hands-on experience with civil discovery and e-discovery.
- Proven ability to manage large document reviews and complex data sets.
- Excellent legal research, writing, and proofreading skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and document management systems.
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability.
