Accounting Clerk (AP-Focused)

Location: La Mirada, CA
Pay Rate: $25.00 - $28.00/hour DOE
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:30 am or 8 AM start time
Assignment Length: 1-2 Month Contract
Start Date: Immediate

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk with a strong Accounts Payable background to support our accounting team on a short-term project. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and can quickly step in to assist with high-volume AP functions.

Responsibilities:

• Process and enter high-volume vendor invoices accurately and timely
• Perform 2-way and 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents
• Review invoices for proper coding and approvals
• Assist with weekly check runs and ACH payment processing
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries
• Reconcile vendor statements and follow up on outstanding items
• Maintain organized AP files and supporting documentation
• Assist with account reconciliations and data entry projects
• Support month-end close activities as needed
• Provide general administrative support to the accounting department

Qualifications:

• 2 years of Accounts Payable or Accounting Clerk experience
• Strong understanding of AP processes and invoice processing
• Experience handling high-volume transactions preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas
• ERP system experience preferred (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics, or similar)
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

Pay Details: $25.00 to $28.00 per hour
