Food Service/Deli Worker

Position: Food Service Sandwich/Deli Worker

Location: Cardinal Spellman High School

Schedule: Monday-Friday 7am-2pm or 8am-2pm

Seasonal position following a school calendar (Sept-June, no weekends or holidays)

We are looking for a dedicated and reliable Cafeteria Food Service Worker for one of our school’s cafeterias. This candidate will be part of a great team that is always looking to improve the students lunch experience. Applicants must enjoy working in a school setting and provide a positive and uplifting meal experience.

This position is for the sandwich station, applicants must be able to and willing to use a slicer. Past Deli experience is a PLUS!

Some Job Responsibilities will include:

• Utilizing commercial kitchen equipment in the preparation of menu items.
• Monitoring food at serving areas for fresh appearance and proper holding temperatures.
• Assisting in serving food on the service line, hot buffet, cashiering, cooking, and cleaning.
• Washing dishes and utensils, stocking, as well as cleaning the food service area during and after service.

Qualifications:

• Previous food service experience is strongly preferred.
• Must be a team player with a positive and upbeat attitude.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must feel comfortable standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to bend, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must have reliable transportation.
