We are seeking a highly creative and detail-oriented Carpenter who is responsible for providing a range of general carpentry services to support facility maintenance and improvements. This role includes tasks such as office space renovations, minor cabinetry production, building maintenance, and custom framing work. The Carpenter plays a key role in ensuring the safety, function, and aesthetic quality of the facility by performing both scheduled and on-demand maintenance. Primary Responsibilities: Perform general carpentry work including framing, drywall repair, finish carpentry, and custom builds. Support office space renovations and reconfigurations including wall, door, and ceiling modifications. Construct and install minor cabinetry and shelving, and provide specialized framing services for items such as plaques and awards. Assist with facility maintenance tasks including: Troubleshooting and repairing minor structural and fixture issues. Repairing or replacing loose carpet tiles, floor tiles, and damaged furniture. Sealing leaks and performing waterproofing repairs. Maintaining and replacing glass panels and resolving seal failures. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify maintenance needs and address them promptly. Collaborate with other maintenance personnel and departments to ensure functional and safe work environments. Maintain tools and materials in good condition and ensure work areas are kept clean and organized. Follow all safety protocols and building codes. Basic Qualifications TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required High school diploma or equivalent. 2–4 years of prior relevant experience in facilities management, operations, or a related field. Working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing) and standard facilities maintenance procedures. Familiarity with space planning, vendor coordination, and daily facilities operations. Proficiency in using standard office and facilities management software. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret and follow building codes and safety regulations. Effective communication skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams Preferred Qualifications Associate or Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field. 4 years of facilities management experience, including oversight of office space planning, maintenance programs, and vendor management. Experience managing construction or renovation projects and lease administration. Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., FMP, CFM, or IFMA credentials). Knowledge of contract management, budgeting, and project scheduling tools. Familiarity with energy efficiency practices and sustainability standards. Experience with facility operations in a multi-site or corporate environment. Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). EC-DAS-CA Come break things (in a good way).
