Job Summary:
Legend Homes is actively seeking an experienced Service and Warranty Representative. They must be able to facilitate the completion of all warranty requests while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The Warranty Representative is responsible for resolving customer issues after the closing of the home. This role will report directly to the Director of Service and Warranty.
Status: Full Time, Exempt/Salary
Division/Team: Legend Homes/Warranty and Service (Houston)
Reports to: Director of Service and Warranty
Essential Duties and Responsibilities includes the following:
- Responsible for warranty calls in numerous communities
- Management of warranty claims
- Evaluate homeowner claims
- Effectively schedule repairs with subcontractors and homeowners for completion
- Conduct follow-up visits with the homeowner to ensure that all necessary work has been completed and conforms with company standards
- Hold subcontractors accountable for any substandard work and quality repairs
- Actively participate in weekly team meetings to assure weekly/monthly goals are met
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with operating basic computer systems and programs (i.e. Windows, Internet Search Engines, Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Possess efficient verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized and detail-oriented
- Ability to represent the company in a positive, professional manner
- Experience in working in the construction industry with knowledge of the home building process
- Able to manage and effectively document all outstanding claims in a timely and organized manner
- High volume of travel across Houston Station Area can be expected
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in residential construction preferred
- OSHA 10/30 Construction qualification preferred
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to traverse and inspect all areas of jobsite in all types of weather; this may include walking, climbing, reaching, bending, crawling or stretching
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time
- Ability to travel the greater Conroe/Bryan/College Station area is required
