Job Location: Houston, TX
Cleaver Brooks Sales and Service is looking for a Parts & Inside Sales Specialist to join our team in Houston, TX. The Parts & Inside Sales Specialist position is established to provide Cleaver Brooks Sales & Service with a qualified representative to handle routine purchasing duties in support of service, projects, and direct parts sales. Duties also include ensuring that internal service, sales, projects and customers are satisfied in a timely manner. Responding in an inside sales capacity to parts sales leads, and performing proactive activities to generate new parts sales. Also the preparation of quotes/proposals for parts customers, order entry and billing for parts orders, and any other jobs required to help the team attain its goals.
Essential functions:
- Provide customer support for all Sales Inquiries and Part Evaluation needs
- Quote development and preparation
- Data entry including billing, running credit cards, and PO review
- Liaison with AR/AP to set up new customers/vendors and maintain accounts
- File warranty claims, process RMAs and credits as needed
- Support the Sales Department with parts pricing
- Support the Service Department with parts pricing
- Document customer contact in CRM
- Represent the company in a professional manner
- Daily follow-ups on previous requests and general inquiries
- Make cold calls and warm calls from TDLR/Stackchaser to drive customer acquisition
- Respond in a timely fashion to general inquiries and requests for information
- Professional communication skills both written and verbal
- Other duties as assigned.
Basic Requirements:
Education:
- A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
Experience:
- Two years’ experience in a similar industrial/technical position is preferred. Computer competency including Outlook, Word, Excel, required with Great Plains background a plus. Basic understanding of HVAC industry terminology a plus.
Physical Skill & Effort:
- Record-keeping (computerized) experience.
- Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level.
- Willingness /ability to work overtime and weekends and emergency hours, as needed. (infrequent)
- Must be reliable and responsible, have own reliable transportation; and must have the ability to work independently with little direct supervision.
- Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion up to 50 pounds lifting.
Working Conditions and Hazards:
Normal office and warehouse conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions or materials.
