Key Responsibilities:
· Oversee all receiving operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient unloading, inspection, and processing of inbound materials.
· Lead and supervise receiving staff, providing direction, training, and performance management to support a high-functioning team.
· Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, packing lists, and company standards to ensure accuracy and quality.
· Maintain organized inventory records and ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of materials.
· Collaborate with purchasing, production, and warehouse teams to support material flow and resolve discrepancies.
· Monitor equipment usage, dock operations, and safety compliance, ensuring adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
· Implement and uphold receiving procedures, inventory controls, and continuous improvement initiatives.
· Troubleshoot issues related to deliveries, supplier paperwork, or material quality concerns.
· Maintain clean, organized receiving areas in compliance with safety and operational standards.
· Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and system updates related to receiving activities.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; logistics or supply chain coursework is a plus.
· 2–4 years of warehouse, receiving, or logistics experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership or supervisory role.
· Strong knowledge of receiving processes, inventory management, and material handling practices.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
· Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklifts, pallet jacks); certification preferred or can be provided.
· Proficiency with ERP or inventory management systems.
· Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
