CNC Machining Center Operator III

Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a CNC Machining Center Operator 3 role in Donald,OR. Key Responsibilities:

· Set up CNC machining jobs using setup sheets and detailed instructions.
· Check and verify new CNC programs, making necessary adjustments to ensure proper execution.
· Perform program edits and write short programs directly at the controller level.
· Read, interpret, and understand dimensions and tolerances from blueprints and engineering drawings.
· Work with close tolerances on machined parts to meet precise specifications and quality standards.
· Operate and set up various CNC equipment including vertical mills, horizontal mills, turning centers, and multi-axis turning centers.
· Apply experience and knowledge of manual machining when needed to support operations.
· Utilize precision instruments, hand tools, and measuring equipment to verify part accuracy and quality.
· Troubleshoot machining issues, optimize feeds and speeds, and ensure smooth program operation.
· Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to improve machining processes and maintain production efficiency.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with company standards.

Qualifications:

· 2 years of machining experience preferred.
· 3 years of experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment.
· Hands-on experience with DMG Mori CNC Machines (NLX2500, NT5400, and CTX Beta 1250TC) and Mori Seiki NHX 6300 is highly desirable.
· 2 years of experience with Multi-Axis Machining, including multi-axis lathes with live tooling.
· Strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation principles.
· Proven ability to troubleshoot and dial in new programs for optimal feeds and speeds.
· Proficiency in using precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
· Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
· Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment.
