Responsibilities
- Set up and assemble resident meal trays according to diet cards and menus
- Deliver meal trays to nursing units and retrieve trays after meals
- Assist with preparation of food items, snacks, and supplements as directed
- Prepare items for medication passes as scheduled
- Break down trays, operate dishwashing equipment, and properly store items
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, and dining spaces
- Assist cooks and food services staff as needed
- Follow infection control, food safety, and sanitation standards
- Respond appropriately to requests from nursing staff and residents
- Adhere to HIPAA and resident confidentiality requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
- Prior dietary or food service experience helpful but not required
- Ability to follow instructions and diet guidelines accurately
- Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Standing and walking for extended periods
- Lifting, carrying, and moving trays, dishes, and supplies
- Bending, stooping, and reaching as needed
- Exposure to kitchen and food service environments
