What are the responsibilities and job description for the Imaging Customer Service Specialist position at Lee County Government?
Join our team and help support toll operations for Lee County! This position is responsible for reviewing images from Toll Plaza cameras and assisting Pay-by-Plate customers and LeeWay account holders. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with computer systems, answering incoming calls, and experienced in delivering excellent customer service.
What You Will Do
(All duties below are required as part of this position)
Image Review & Toll Processing
- Review vehicle license plate images collected from cameras.
- Accurately enter plate details (letters, numbers, state, and plate type).
- Entry of license plate information from all U.S. states and Canadian provinces.
- Mark unreadable images using system codes.
- Report image issues or patterns to a supervisor.
- Research transactions to identify vehicle owners.
Customer Service
- Answer and respond to high-volume customer calls using a multi-line phone system.
- Assist customers with LeeWay accounts, invoices, and transponders.
- Set up new accounts and update existing customer information.
- Process payments, applications, renewals, and account changes.
- Resolve billing questions and customer complaints in a professional manner.
- Explain LeeWay programs, discounts, and toll enforcement policies.
General Duties
- Maintain data accuracy while using specialized toll systems (e.g., ARCS, VES, MIRA).
- Handle confidential customer information with discretion.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 year of experience in fast-paced customer service or a similar role.
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows systems.
Able to type efficiently and use computer systems for extended periods.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and multitasking skills.
Ability to remain calm and courteous with upset or confused customers.
Comfortable researching information using internal systems and DMV tools.
Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer data.
Preferred Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license with a good record.
Work Schedule:
- Full-time: 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
- Some weekend work may be needed during busy times
