Accounts Payable Specialist

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has a prominent manufacturing company in the St Paul Mn area needing to add to their accoutning team! If you have 2-4 years of Accounts Payable experience then apply today!

• Pay: $25-$30/hr
• Mon-Fri 8am-5pm

• Review, verify, and process vendor invoices, ensuring proper coding, approvals, and supporting documentation.

• Reconcile vendor statements, research discrepancies, and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Prepare and execute weekly or scheduled payment runs (ACH, checks, wires).

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records, including W-9 forms and payment details.

• Process employee expense reports in compliance with company policy.

• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoice or purchase order discrepancies.

• Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals, AP aging reports, and reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.

• Support audits by providing documentation and responding to inquiries.

• Identify opportunities to improve AP processes and support system enhancements.
  
  

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field (Bachelor's preferred).

• 1-3 years of accounts payable experience.

• Understanding of basic accounting principles and AP best practices.

• Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and general data entry.

• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Good communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
