This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in residential construction accounting, though some commercial experience would be advantageous. The role involves a variety of accounting tasks related to construction projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance in financial activities.
Responsibilities
- Bring experience from residential construction, with commercial experience considered a plus.
- Perform Work In Progress (WIP) reconciliations.
- Track budgets and manage financial aspects of construction projects.
- Monitor subcontractor hours, work, and payments.
- Manage construction draws and conduct cash analysis.
- Support month-end closing processes.
- Track purchase orders and perform three-way matching.
- Assist with year-end financial activities and reporting.
- Handle lien releases and AIA billing processes.
- Coordinate project closeouts and ensure all documentation is complete.
- Ensure contracts are in place and coded to appropriate budgets.
- Manage job costing and high-volume accounts receivable.
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly desirable.
- Must have experience with QuickBooks.
- Experience with Procore is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel is required.
