Construction Payroll Specialist

Position Overview:Ledgent Finance & Accounting's client is currently seeking a highly skilled Payroll Specialist to join their team in California. This role involves managing payroll processes with an emphasis on prevailing wage and certified payroll. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of both California and Federal labor laws, alongside experience in handling payroll compliance. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity located onsite in Richmond, CA.Responsibilities:Managing payroll with a focus on prevailing wage and certified payroll.Ensuring compliance with California and Federal labor laws.Handling certified payroll compliance efficiently.Utilizing eBacon or similar prevailing wage platforms (preferred).Demonstrating proficiency in Excel and adaptability to new software systems.Maintaining accuracy and timeliness in payroll processing.Contributing positively to a collaborative and growing team environment.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll, with a focus on prevailing wage/certified payroll.Strong hands-on experience with California and Federal labor laws.Familiarity with eBacon or similar platforms is preferred.Proficient in Excel and comfortable with new software systems.Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.Positive, professional attitude and a desire to work as part of a team.Comfortable working onsite in Richmond, CA.Salary:Pay is between $35-$42 per hour.Work Hours:Typical work hours are Monday through Friday, with specifics to be discussed during the interview process.Additional Details:This is a temp-to-hire position, providing an excellent opportunity for career growth within a supportive and dynamic environment.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
