Overview:The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for managing and processing vendor invoices, subcontractor payments, and compliance documentation within a fast-paced construction environment. This role ensures accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies and industry standards while supporting project teams and maintaining strong vendor relationships.Key Responsibilities:Process high-volume accounts payable transactions, including vendor and subcontractor invoices.Verify invoice accuracy against purchase orders, contracts, and job cost codes.Ensure compliance with lien waivers, W-9s, insurance certificates (COIs), and other required documentation.Maintain accurate records of job costing and expense allocations in the accounting system.Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.Assist with month-end close by ensuring all AP entries are posted accurately and timely.Collaborate with project managers and procurement teams to resolve billing issues.Support audits and provide documentation as requested.Qualifications:Experience: 2-5 years of accounts payable experience, preferably in construction or a related industry.Skills:Strong knowledge of job costing and construction billing practices.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, Foundation) and Microsoft Excel.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.Strong communication and problem-solving skills.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
