A growing hospitality group in the Annapolis area seeks a qualified Accounting Specialist

Key Responsibilities
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closings, including journal entries and accruals.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies in financial records.
- Support payroll processing and expense reporting as needed.
- Assist with internal and external audits by preparing necessary documentation.
- Generate ad-hoc financial reports and provide data analysis to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting accuracy.
- 2 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or a related role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar).
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
