We are conducting a confidential search for an experienced Cash Receipts Specialist to support a professional organization’s accounting and finance operations.

- Process and accurately apply incoming customer payments to the appropriate accounts and invoices.
- Post ACH payments, wire transfers, checks, and other electronic payment transactions.
- Review daily bank activity and identify incoming payments.
- Prepare and record bank deposits.
- Reconcile cash receipts, bank accounts, and customer account balances.
- Research and resolve unapplied cash, payment discrepancies, short payments, and unidentified receipts.
- Ensure all cash transactions are posted accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain detailed documentation of payment activity, adjustments, and account research.
- Communicate with customers and internal departments regarding payment questions and account discrepancies.
- Provide responsive and professional customer service when addressing payment-related concerns.
- Assist with month-end closing activities and cash-related reporting.
- Support the accounting team with additional reconciliation and cash management responsibilities as needed.
- Minimum of two years of experience in cash receipts, cash application, accounts receivable, or a related accounting position.
- Law Firm experience preferred
- Experience processing ACH payments, wire transfers, checks, and bank deposits.
- Demonstrated experience with payment posting and account reconciliation.
- Strong understanding of cash application and accounts receivable procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to research and resolve payment discrepancies.
- Ability to manage multiple transactions, deadlines, and priorities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting or financial management systems.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
