Join our dynamic team and contribute to shaping the future of luxury living.Location: Southern California (with travel to Arizona as needed)Reports To: Vice PresidentStatus: Exempt, Full-Time, Direct HireTravel: Required within Southern California and Arizona regionsPosition Summary:We are seeking an experienced Construction Planner/Scheduler to plan, develop, and maintain project timelines for our luxury apartment developments, facilities, fire life safety, capital improvements, and related initiatives. This role demands expertise in commercial or multi-residential construction, particularly for high-end apartments, and involves exercising independent judgment to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to our standards of excellence. You'll also support permitting processes and foster strong relationships with city officials to streamline approvals and inspections.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with project managers, engineers, construction teams, facilities, fire life safety, and capital improvement groups to monitor progress, adjust schedules, and communicate updates to leadership.Coordinate timelines and workload distribution across teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, on schedule, and within financial parameters.Analyze schedules for optimal cost and resource efficiency.Generate progress reports and forecasts to track project status.Break down large-scale projects into manageable development phases.Utilize Microsoft Project and other management tools to establish realistic timeframes.Partner with estimators to assess resource needs, and engage with contractors and suppliers to align on deliverables.Conduct risk assessments to identify potential delays, such as material shortages or labor issues, and implement mitigation strategies.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Vice President.QualificationsTo succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to perform essential duties effectively.
