Our client, a premier property management company, is seeking a high-energy and professional Recreation Attendant to join their team. This role is essential for maintaining a vibrant and safe environment for residents and visitors at their community recreation facilities.
Role Overview
As a Recreation Attendant, you will be the face of the community’s leisure facilities, ensuring all amenities—including the bowling alley, train, and carousel—are operated safely and enjoyed by all. You will report directly to the Resident Services Coordinator and work as a key member of the onsite team.
- Status: Non-exempt
- Location: Opportunities available within the Southern California Region and Arizona
- Schedule: Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Facility Operations: Perform opening and closing procedures for the recreation facility and bowling alley.
- Equipment Oversight: Operate specialized equipment such as the community train and carousel during posted hours.
- Resident Assistance: Guide residents and visitors on the proper use of recreation equipment, including bowling and billiards.
- Rule Enforcement: Explain and uphold community rules, such as guest limits and food/drink policies in common areas.
- Maintenance & Upkeep: Perform light cleaning and janitorial tasks to keep facilities orderly; report any equipment wear and tear to management.
- Administrative Support: Manage equipment sign-out logs and maintain appropriate audio/video settings for the facility atmosphere.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of customer service or related experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn specialized bowling and ride equipment (training provided).
- Communication: Strong professional verbal and written communication skills for interacting with residents, staff, and vendors.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds; regular standing, walking, and computer work.
