Pinecrest Supports and Services Center specializes in the treatment of people with comorbid intellectual and developmental disabilities and complex medical, behavioral, and psychiatric support needs.
Pinecrest Supports & Services Center (PSSC) is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality care and coordination of nursing services across our programs. As a key leader within our clinical team, the RN Program Coordinator will oversee nursing operations, support staff development, and collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to meet the needs of the individuals we serve.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A bachelor's degree in nursing plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A master's degree in nursing or public health plus two years of experience as a licensed registered nurse; OR
A doctorate in nursing or public health plus one year of experience as a licensed registered nurse.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Responsible for maintaining wound care clinic whereas the nurse will accompany/assist the physical therapist for wound assessment (initial and ongoing), wound dressing changes and transcription of dressing change orders for complex wounds and/or continence conditions.
- Collaborate with nurses and primary care providers to provide personalized treatment plans to prevent future infection/injury or deterioration of the current condition. Coordinates to provide effective supports to prevent injury and/or skin breakdown.
- Maintains documentation for each client and the progression of the provided wound care to establish and maintain wound care goals. Provides education to nurses and direct care staff regarding supports, wound management and wound prevention.
- Performs all duties within the course and scope of the Louisiana State Board of Nursing to provide high quality care promoting health and education. Participates in monthly nurse meetings, maintains proper certifications, education as required by PSSC and Louisiana Department of Health.
- Administers medications, monitors person or signs, symptoms or adverse reactions. Monitors efficacy of medication administered. Provides on-site demonstration, education, and/or training to other team members.
- Maintains database for specific medications, as required by Pharmacy, for distribution. Collaborates with providers to order necessary/required labs and enters data into database as received, to ensure timely distribution of medication.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: This position may be filled by Detail to Special Duty, Probation, Promotion, Demotion, Job Appointment, or Lateral Transfer. Preference may be given to permanent classified employees of Pinecrest Supports and Services Center.
Work Schedule: 8:00am to 4:30pm Pass Days: Sat. & Sun.
Compensation: This position has a Special Entrance Rate of $39.12/hr. and is eligible for premium pay of $10.00/hr. This position also receives Shift Differential, Longevity Pay, and Additional Pay options.
