How You’ll Contribute
- Ensure safe and efficient steam boiler and turbine operations by adhering to precise shutdown and startup procedures.
- Manage the delivery of power transmission from the plant to the grid ensuring minimal interruptions.
- Manage gas power plant machinery and auxiliary systems to meet systems demands.
- Continuously monitor and adjust all unit systems to ensure optimal operational efficiency.
- Conduct field walk-downs and equipment inspections to monitor operational performance.
- Five or more years of experience in power plant operations or power plant maintenance, including at least one year operating the unit control board with little or no supervision and including at least one unit startup and at least one unit shutdown or relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in power plant operations or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Successful completion through Level IV of the plant operations curriculum of the Power Plants' Craft Qualification Program substitutes for five years of experience.
- Experience in traditional drum gas-fired thermal steam units.
- Experience in combined cycle gas CTs, HRSG, and Steam Turbine.
- Experience in Simple Cycle aero-derivative LM6000 Peaker Plants.
