Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio company, is actively recruiting for a temporary Office Coordinator for an onsite role with one of your prestigious law firm clients in Washington, DC.
Start date: mid-June
Duration: 6 months
Location: DC, fully onsite
Payrate: $21 - $26, per hour
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
Position Overview:
The General Office Coordinator provides essential administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations across the office. This role includes assisting with routine office tasks, supporting the Records Department, preparing meeting spaces, and serving as backup coverage for the reception desk. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and comfortable interacting with employees, clients, and guests.
Responsibilities:
- General Office Support
- Assist with daily office tasks and special projects as assigned.
- Prepare and distribute daily snack baskets.
- Assist with setting up conference rooms for meetings, including arranging seating, supplies, and technology as needed.
- Coordinate with the Records Department to organize, prepare, and send files to the offsite storage facility.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing, scanning, data entry, and document preparation.
- Cover the reception desk during breaks, lunches, and when the receptionist is out of the office.
- Greet and check in visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls.
- Maintain a tidy and organized reception area.
- Assist with arranging transportation for attorneys, clients, and visitors as needed.
- Prior office or administrative experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Comfortable greeting guests and answering multi-line phone systems.
- Ability to stay organized, manage multiple tasks, and adapt to shifting priorities.
- Professional demeanor and reliability.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various departments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of general office experience required; receptionist or customer service experience in a law firm preferred
- Legal office experience preferred
- Proficient use of a PC including knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel); experience with scheduling systems a plus
