Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio company is actively recruiting for a temporary Administrative Assistant for an onsite role with one of your prestigious law firm clients in Washington, DC.
This is a hybrid role, 4 days onsite and 1 day remote. Experience with Career Development required.
Position Summary
The temporary, Administrative Assistant (a very heavy administrative role) provides essential administrative and coordination support for the career development team, with a primary focus on the firm’s evaluation processes. This role requires strong organization, attention to detail, discretion with confidential information, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate evaluation cycles by organizing materials, monitoring progress, and maintaining accurate records.
- Help ensure evaluations are completed consistently and on schedule.
- Develop working knowledge of the firm’s evaluation system to pull, compile, and summarize evaluation data.
- Maintain and update tracking tools (e.g., spreadsheets/dashboards) to monitor completion and highlight outstanding items.
- Follow up with evaluators regarding missing or incomplete evaluations.
- Schedule team specific meetings for evaluation discussions (associate and counsel).
- Coordinate calendars, send invitations, and manage meeting changes or updates.
- Prepare and distribute meeting materials to participants in advance.
- Assist with scheduling meetings involving practice group leaders.
- Provide general administrative assistance to the PD team as needed.
- Draft and send communications related to evaluation processes.
- Support special projects tied to professional development initiatives.
Qualifications
- Prior administrative, assistant, or coordination experience required.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and similar tools.
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
