Lawyers on Demand, a Consilio Company, is urgently seeking a toxic tort / asbestos paralegal to support one of our prestigious corporate clients on a fully remote basis.
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: long-term, open-ended work
Pay Rate: $40 hour based on experience
Location: fully remote, US based
Primary Responsibilities:
- Open cases in the corporate tracking system
- Send cases out to regional counsel, work with outside / regional counsel on case management
- Paralegal is solely responsible for new case intake
- Attend internal case status and case review meetings
- Maintain trial schedule and coordinate with internal and external attorney teams
Ideal Candidate Qualities:
- Someone who can perform well under a heavy workload and lots of ongoing cases
- Someone who is good with technology and numbers - pulling reports, analyzing reports, providing insights to attorneys
Required Qualifications:
- At least 5 years' experience in asbestos defense work, or similar toxic tort cases
- Ability to work effectively in a remote position
- Ability to communicate effectively across verbal and written mediums
