Job Description
Our client, a top financial company, is hiring a temporary junior legal assistant/paralegal to support their active M&A team.
Key Responsibilities
- Locate, retrieve, review and inventory supplier agreements and supplier contact information across business systems, repositories and teams.
- Cross-reference Accounts Payable spend, purchase order data and ERP records against contract archives to identify missing, expired or unindexed agreements.
- Build and maintain a single source of truth for contract inventory to support due diligence and M&A planning.
- Maintain an organized, centralized repository of relevant supplier agreements.
- Review relevant contract terms and work with business stakeholders to determine appropriate contract disposition paths.
- Drive outreach and execution of counterparty consents.
- Coordinate with internal counsel and external counterparties to finalize transfer documentation.
- Manage execution workflows to ensure timely countersignatures ahead of deal milestones.
- Maintain a central tracker monitoring contract status from initial review through final execution.
- Provide milestone updates, status summaries and risk escalations to project leadership.
- Support final closing deliverables and operational handoffs.
Qualifications
- Experience supporting mid-size to large acquisitions and/or divestitures, preferably within financial services or fintech
- Working knowledge of Harvey or Legora
