What are the responsibilities and job description for the Law Clerk position at Law Office?
Attorney with a dynamic and wide-ranging law practice is in need, on an immediate basis, of a law clerk, a position which has in the past afforded law students and recent law school graduates an opportunity to play an integral role with the firm and gain invaluable experience.
Requires someone with high level analytical and research skills, someone dedicated and adaptable, who doesn’t mind doing mundane but important work yet is also capable of taking on demanding, higher level tasks. Someone who would be interested in being exposed to all aspects of the operation of a law practice and a wide array of cases, many of them very challenging. Someone especially bright, with good judgment and character, a knack for relating to people, a commitment to precision, and a willingness and ability to learn.
The position may be either part or full time, depending on the person selected, though likely initially part time, with a minimum nine to twelve month commitment expected. Pay is entry level to start, with increases to follow.
Please, in your reply, by way of an e-mail message, cover letter, or screening answer, address why this specific opportunity -- entry level but with a high degree of responsibility and exposure -- might be of interest to you, and what you believe you may have to offer. We shall otherwise be left to infer a lack of interest in this position specifically as opposed to legal positions generally.
Please note. This is not an associate position. It is also not a position for an established attorney. It is a law clerk position, potentially a great opportunity for a recent law school graduate or current law student.
