What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paralegal position at Law Office?
Personal Injury law firm seeks full time/part-time paralegal/legal secretary with prior experience in a personal injury field. Candidate must be a team player with the ability to work independently. Duties include: setting up NF/BI/UM claims, process lost wages, and be able to keep heavy contact with clients and insurance carriers. Spanish speaking is a plus but not required.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
Responsibilities
- Review and draft routine legal documents
- Request medical records
- Create and maintain case files
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research
Qualifications
- Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal
