A well-established civil defense litigation firm is seeking Trial Attorneys and Insurance Defense Attorneys to join its growing litigation team. The firm represents insurance carriers, businesses, and professionals in a broad range of complex defense matters and offers attorneys the opportunity to take ownership of their cases while working alongside experienced trial lawyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage litigation matters from inception through trial or resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda.
- Conduct depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
- Handle court appearances and develop litigation strategy.
- Collaborate with clients, experts, and litigation teams throughout the life of a case.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
Qualifications:
- Active New York Bar membership in good standing.
- 3 years of civil litigation or insurance defense experience.
- Trial experience is strongly preferred.
- Candidates without first-chair trial experience should possess significant motion practice or second-chair trial experience.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 – $250,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
