**REMOTE Associate Attorney – Toxic Tort & Civil Litigation**
Location: Chicago, IL (REMOTE)
Experience: 3–6 Years
Base: $130K–$160K Bonus
About the Job:
Join a national defense litigation firm handling sophisticated, high-stakes matters involving toxic tort, product liability, mass torts, environmental litigation, and catastrophic claims. You’ll manage cases from inception through resolution and work closely with experienced trial attorneys and major corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload from inception through resolution
- Take and defend depositions
- Draft motions, briefs, discovery, and legal correspondence
- Participate in hearings, mediations, and pretrial proceedings
- Conduct legal research, investigations, and case analysis
- Work with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and senior attorneys
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3–6 years of litigation experience
- Active Illinois Bar license and good standing
- Strong deposition and motion practice experience
- Civil defense or toxic tort experience preferred
- Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong case-management and organizational abilities
- Ability to independently manage matters while working collaboratively
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $130,000 – $160,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
