Litigation & Regulatory Response Paralegal

Latitude Legal
San Mateo, CA Full Time
POSTED ON 7/24/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 8/30/2026
Latitude is recruiting a motivated, detail-oriented Litigation and Regulatory Response Paralegal for a temporary engagement with its client, one of the world’s premier digital entertainment and gaming companies. In this role, you’ll support a broad portfolio of litigation, subpoenas, law enforcement requests, government inquiries, regulatory matters, and eDiscovery projects that impact our client’s global business. Working closely with attorneys, legal operations professionals, outside counsel, and cross-functional partners, you will help manage high-impact matters and build scalable processes that protect our client’s ecosystem. It's an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience across litigation, regulatory response, and legal operations within a fast-paced, international legal department at a globally recognized technology and entertainment brand.

Ideal candidates will be based in or near San Mateo, and available to work a full-time hybrid schedule of two days a week in office and three days a week remote.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Manage legal process intake and workflows — subpoenas, court orders, warrants, preservation requests, and other demands from law enforcement and government authorities — from receipt through response.
  • Support attorneys across a broad portfolio of litigation, intellectual property disputes, regulatory matters, and government inquiries.
  • Coordinate matter intake, tracking, reporting, and document management across a diverse caseload.
  • Partner with attorneys, business teams, outside counsel, and vendors on document preservation, legal holds, collections, review, productions, and other discovery activities.
  • Draft routine legal correspondence, notices, and matter documentation under attorney supervision.
  • Maintain litigation and regulatory response records, metrics, and reporting to surface trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Support outside counsel engagement, invoice review, budget tracking, and vendor management.
  • Collaborate with partners across Privacy, Trust & Safety, Information Security, Product, and other functions to gather information and respond to legal requests.
  • Help develop policies, procedures, playbooks, and training that make litigation and regulatory response programs more efficient and scalable.
  • Support special projects and strategic initiatives across the Legal, Public Policy & ESG organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved or equivalent program.
  • 3 years supporting litigation, regulatory matters, eDiscovery, dispute resolution, or legal operations, either in-house or at a law firm.
  • Familiarity with civil litigation processes, discovery obligations, document preservation requirements, and legal process response workflows.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple matters and competing priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn legal technology platforms and workflow management tools.
  • Experience working with outside counsel, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage sensitive, confidential information.
  • Sound judgment, professionalism, and a proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting civil litigation and intellectual property litigation in an in-house legal department or law firm.
  • Experience handling subpoenas, law enforcement requests, government inquiries, or regulatory matters.
  • Experience supporting a technology, gaming, entertainment, or consumer-facing company.
  • Hands-on experience with eDiscovery workflows, legal holds, document review projects, productions, and outside counsel coordination.
  • Experience developing metrics, dashboards, and operational reporting.
  • Familiarity with legal operations, matter management, eDiscovery, and regulatory response platforms such as SimpleLegal, Microsoft Purview, Relativity, Kodex, and similar tools.
  • Experience using technology and process automation to improve efficiency and scalability in legal workflows.
  • A genuine interest in technology, video games, intellectual property, and the broader entertainment industry.

What Sets You Apart

  • You take ownership of your work and proactively look for ways to improve processes and drive efficiency.
  • You build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across teams, functions, and geographies.
  • You're comfortable navigating ambiguity and managing competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • You exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information and time-sensitive requests.
  • You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality work product.
  • You value different perspectives and experiences, and you actively cultivate inclusivity and collaboration in your daily work.
