Accounting Specialist Latham Centers is seeking a detail-oriented &
analytical Accounting Specialist to support financial operations for our
affiliated organizations, including adult group homes financed through
HUD & day support programs provided by Transitions Centers, Inc. This
position plays a key role in maintaining independent affiliate financial
systems while ensuring accurate consolidation & integration with Latham
Centers\' overall financial reporting. Reporting to the Controller &
working closely with the Business Office, the Accounting Specialist
manages daily accounting operations, supports compliance requirements, &
serves as the primary liaison with HUD for reporting & project
coordination. Key Responsibilities: Serve as primary liaison with HUD,
coordinating reporting requirements, project approvals, & client
recertifications Work with HUD, program staff, clients, & guardians to
complete required reporting Process & coordinate accounts payable,
including invoice review, payment scheduling, & vendor follow-up Post &
reconcile accounts payable & prepaid expenses in accounting software
Maintain accurate general ledger entries, inter-company accounts, &
financial records Reconcile bank statements monthly & resolve
discrepancies in payments, invoices, & balances Prepare monthly
financial statements & budget-to-actual reports, including variance
analysis Reconcile student & adult services client accounts to the
general ledger & program reports Assist with budget preparation & annual
audits Provide support to Business Office staff & perform additional
duties as assigned Requirements: Associate\'s degree or Certificate in
Accounting strongly preferred Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or
Related Discipline Preferred 3-5 Years Of Accounting Experience Required
Experience supporting organizations with independent subsidiaries
preferred Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, accounting software, &
payroll systems Strong analytical skills & attention to detail Ability
to manage multiple priorities & maintain confidentiality Valid driver\'s
