Compensation: $21.75 per hour (based on experience)
Schedule: Full-Time or Part-Time

About the Role:
As a Lead DSP, you will play a key role in organizing and guiding students’ daily routines while collaborating closely with direct care and clinical staff. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys taking initiative, planning activities, and making a direct impact on students’ growth and well-being.
What You’ll Do:
- Take the lead in organizing structured daily schedules and activities, both on campus and in the community
- Develop monthly activity calendars and create engaging daily plans for your assigned group
- Support students in completing daily living responsibilities and building independence
- Implement individualized behavior and support strategies consistently
- Contribute to and prepare progress reports, including IEPs and ISPs
- Document student progress through regular note writing
- Provide support during behavioral crises using trained intervention techniques
- Offer guidance, mentorship, and informal counseling to students
- Maintain consistent communication with team members regarding student needs and progress
- Participate in trainings and maintain all required certifications
What We’re Looking For:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and lead structured activities
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to respond effectively in crisis situations while maintaining a calm, supportive approach
- Respect for individuals of all abilities and backgrounds
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least one year of experience in human services, education, or a related field
- Experience with behavior management or special education settings
- Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely intervene in crisis situations when necessary to ensure the safety of students and staff
