Grant Accountant

The Grant Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of grant funding, including budgeting, reporting and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and experience in grant management.

Grant Accountant Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of grant accounting, including budgeting, invoicing and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations related to grant funding
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for all grants
• Monitor grant expenditures and prepare periodic financial reports for stakeholders
• Assist with grant proposals, including budget preparation and cost allocation
• Collaborate with program managers to ensure effective financial management of grants
• Conduct audits and prepare documentation for external audits as necessary
• Provide training and support to staff on grant accounting procedures and policies
  
  

Grant Accountant Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
• 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on grant management preferred
• Knowledge of GAAP and applicable regulations regarding grant funding
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with a strong ability to manage multiple priorities
