Sr. Power BI Developer
Contract Type: 6 Month Contract-to-Hire
Compensation: $60-$70 hr
Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision (contract); 401(k) with 5% match, 12% bonus potential upon hire
Location: Schaumburg, IL
Work Model: Onsite, 3–5 days/week
About The Role
LaSalle Network is partnering with a manufacturing client, a global leader in oral care, health products, and industrial materials, to hire a Sr. Power BI Developer. This role will lead a migration from Qlik to Power BI as part of a broader ERP system upgrade. You’ll design, build, and optimize dashboards, KPIs, and data models that drive decisions across finance, supply chain, and operations.
This position is ideal for a hands-on developer who thrives on collaboration, excels in user communication, and enjoys working in a dynamic, global environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the end-to-end development of Power BI reports, dashboards, and KPIs
- Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions
- Support ERP system maintenance and reporting across finance and supply chain
- Collaborate with IT, business partners, and Canadian teams for data alignment
- Optimize queries, DAX calculations, and data models for scalability and performance
- Mentor junior BI developers and ensure BI best practices are followed
- Stay up-to-date with new Power BI features and Microsoft Data Services
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5 years in BI or data analytics, with 3 years hands-on Power BI experience (DAX, Power Query, data modeling)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake)
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain
- ERP support experience (finance/supply chain)
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with end-users
- Experience with Azure Data Services, ETL, and DevOps practices a plus
