HR Coordinator

LaSalle Network is hiring on behalf of a nonprofit organization based in Chicago for a Human Resources Coordinator.

HR Coordinator Responsibilities

• Coordinate full-cycle onboarding, including preparing offer letters, initiating background checks, and managing all new hire documentation.
• Lead new hire orientations and conduct facility tours to introduce employees to the organization’s culture, policies, and key contacts.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, providing support throughout their transition into the organization.
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support recruitment efforts through interview scheduling, candidate communication, and coordination with hiring managers.
• Assist with benefits administration and respond to general employee inquiries regarding HR policies and programs.
• Prepare onboarding materials, welcome packets, and coordinate system and building access with IT and Facilities.
• Support employee engagement initiatives, training sessions, and ongoing HR projects as assigned.
  
  

HR Coordinator Requirements

• 1-3 years previous HR, onboarding, or administrative experience preferred; nonprofit experience a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable working in a fast?paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic HR processes.
