A leading food distribution company is seeking a Director, Night Warehouse to oversee all night-shift warehouse operations and drive a culture centered on safety, people, service, and cost efficiency. This leader will guide warehouse teams, ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, and support strategic initiatives that enhance operational performance and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all night warehouse operations to achieve safety, service, and cost goals while supporting long-term operational planning.
- Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company, OSHA, and food safety standards.
- Coach and develop warehouse leaders and teams to drive performance, engagement, and retention.
- Build and maintain high-performing teams, including workforce planning, hiring, and training.
- Oversee inventory accuracy, product integrity, sanitation programs, and operational procedures.
- Monitor operational data, identify issues, and implement improvements that enhance accuracy, productivity, and overall warehouse efficiency.
- Maintain facility condition and equipment readiness; support union-related processes where applicable.
- 7 years of warehouse management or distribution leadership experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, OSHA and HACCP regulations.
- Ability to analyze operational and financial data to drive informed decisions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; WMS experience preferred.
- High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
