Their broad array of mobile-first financial solutions has helped over 20 million people manage their financial well-being and provided over $40 billion in consumer loans.
The Company's legal team is looking for an Assistant General Counsel who is well-versed in the banking & consumer finance regulatory space. This person will navigate new proposed laws to assist the business and help support the launch of additional products.
- This is a hybrid position in Sandy Springs
Responsibilities:
- Stay informed about banking regulations, laws, and industry standards (UDAAP, FCRA, Reg E, etc)
- Draft and review related legal agreements on existing and new financial products
- Advise internal stakeholders on relevant legal matters relating to the company's financial products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, technology, marketing) to support the launch of new financial products
- Collaborate with outside counsel on litigation matters when necessary
- Conduct due diligence on potential M&A activity
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- 6 years of relevant legal experience
- Admitted to a state bar in good standing
- In-depth understanding of banking regulations and compliance
- Strong Drafting Skills for Contracts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
