Oracle DBA with BI Reporting Atlanta, GA
- Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, triggers, and complex SQL queries to support application and data workflows.
- Build and optimize data models, database structures, and ETL processes for analytics, reporting, and operational systems.
- Develop and maintain BI reports, dashboards, and data models using tools such as BI Publisher, OBIEE, Power BI, Tableau, or similar.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather reporting and data requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Develop integrations between Oracle databases and external systems using APIs, ETL tools, or custom PL/SQL logic.
- Conduct performance tuning on SQL and PL/SQL, reviewing execution plans and optimizing long-running queries.
- Troubleshoot application logic, data quality, and reporting issues in both production and non-production environments.
- Provide DBA support including performance monitoring, environment coordination, schema management, patching, backups, and upgrades in collaboration with core DBA teams.
- Participate in code reviews, version control, release management, and technical documentation.
- Work onsite in Atlanta, GA and collaborate with both technical teams and business users.
- Minimum 8 years of hands-on Oracle development experience with strong PL/SQL skills.
- Expertise in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Experience with BI reporting tools (BI Publisher, OBIEE, Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Strong understanding of data modeling, relational database design, and ETL concepts.
- Experience with database integrations, data pipelines, and automated data processing.
- Familiarity with Oracle 12c/19c environments and DBA practices.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience with Oracle E-Business Suite, Oracle Cloud ERP, or other Oracle enterprise applications.
- Knowledge of APEX, Oracle Forms/Reports, or OAF.
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix, shell scripting, cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure), and data warehousing concepts.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and DevOps practices.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
