Job Summary (AI SME / Data Scientist )
- Lead innovation lab operations for designing and engineering cloud native AI/ML/NLP solutions using emerging technologies (LLM’s, GenAI).
- Develop prototypes, pilots, and proof of concepts for modernizing products and validating technology opportunities.
- Serve as subject matter expert in implementation, training, and adoption of large language models (LLMs).
- Ensure solutions are compliant with cybersecurity policies and best practices, including ATO certifications.
- Build and deploy predictive models, machine learning algorithms, and statistical analyses to address complex business problems.
- Create and present business briefings, technical recommendations, and demonstrations to executives and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineering, product, business) to develop data-driven solutions.
- Conduct exploratory data analysis and extract actionable insights from large, complex datasets.
- Support user and customer experience initiatives through focus groups, metrics, wireframes, and information architecture.
- Develop reusable code libraries and establish best practices for modernization and innovation.
- Mentor junior data scientists and lead team adoption of new technologies and techniques.
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in data science, AI/ML research, and cloud architectures.
- Support Agile product teams in integrating and operationalizing emerging technologies and data strategies.
- Analyze data usage patterns to identify and solve business challenges.
- Ensure solutions are cloud native and integrate with AWS, Azure, GCP, and other big data platforms.
- Utilize tools and languages such as Python, R, SQL, Java, PyTorch, Databricks, Terraform, Gitlab, Tableau, Power BI, and Docker.
- Optionally, contribute expertise in MLOps, DevSecOps automation, computer vision, deep learning, and Agile management tools (Rally).
