Job Summary
Primary Function:
The AAA supports the special education program by providing support services, instructional accommodations, and modifications to students with special needs. The AAA is required to perform necessary and appropriate duties to ensure student(s) receive services outlined on their Individual Educational Plan (IEP). This may or may not include supporting Teachers by caring for the physical, social-emotional, and academic needs of students with special needs and providing additional support in the form of educational materials and exercises.
Requirements / Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
(*) High School Diploma
(*) Minimum of two years of college (60-semester credits)
(*) TB Test clearance & DOJ fingerprinting clearance
(*) Familiarity working with students in a tutoring environment
(*) An enthusiasm to support a young and growing school program
(*) Possess/maintain valid infant, child and Adult CPR/First Aid/AED certification

Larchmont is a constructivist school. Constructivism is a theory of learning which holds that each of us has a unique schema of the world based on our lived experience and that by interacting with our environment we make connections to what we already know and construct new meaning.
