| Position Purpose: | Faculty are professional educators with the primary responsibility of providing a quality learning experience for all Lane Community College students. The relationship of the faculty member to the student is one of the teacher of record and facilitator of learning. |

| Supervision Statement: | Faculty report to a department or division dean, and perform instruction-related duties and responsibilities in a timely manner and in accordance with the mission, policies, and procedures of the college. |
| Physical Demands/Working Environment: | Coordinate fine and gross motor movements. Coordinate hand/eye movements. Maintain balance. Negotiate level surfaces, ramps and stairs. Function with both hands free for performing psycho-motor tasks. Maneuver in small areas. Attend to cognitive and psychometric tasks for more than two (2) hours a day; work on a computer for more than one (1) hour a day; ability to transport or lift up to twenty-five (25) lbs with assistance as needed; stand or sit for extended periods of time.
