Required Qualifications
| Required Education: | High school graduation, GED or equivalent experience and/or education. |

| Required Experience: | Six (6) months of experience performing the full range of custodial duties including the operation of hand and power equipment and the safe and proper mixing and applying of cleaning chemicals. |
| Licensure or Certification Requirements | A current and valid Oregon driver's license OR reliable transportation. |

| Position Purpose: | Our custodians are responsible for cleaning the inside of buildings and other facilities and performing minor maintenance in a manner that is safe and supports learning at the college. |

| Supervision Statement: | Reports to and works under the general supervision of a custodial manager. Assistant Custodial Manager schedules, assigns, inspects and approves work and is available to answer questions or troubleshoot problems on a daily basis. After an initial orientation period, the employee is assigned to one or more buildings on a shift. Work requires employee to be self-directed and to work efficiently in order to accomplish scheduled tasks during the shift. A procedures manual is available for reference on the night shift. Work is reviewed periodically to monitor its quality and timely completion. Supervision of others is not a normal responsibility of this position; however, this position may have occasional responsibility for training and instructing student assistants. |
