Vice President, Real Estate Investment Accounting

Company Overview:

A leading global alternative asset management firm with $286 billion in assets under management is seeking an Investment Accountant for its Real Estate Finance team. This role involves overseeing the end-to-end investment lifecycle of real estate assets, from acquisition through disposition.

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee and execute detailed investment-level processes related to the acquisition, management, and disposition of real estate assets
• Perform data-driven analyses and interpret large volumes of property, financial, and operational data to support fund reporting and business decisions
• Review property financials and perform quarterly forecasts; review of disposition gains/losses, waterfall calculations, and promote allocations
• Identify inefficiencies and drive process improvements across reporting, data management, and operational workflows
• Track deal performance
• Collaborate with the deal teams and asset management to support execution of business plans
• Manage, mentor, and coach a team of administrators
• Support audits, valuations, and tax return preparation with organized and thorough documentation
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with operating partners and other external parties
  
  

Qualifications:

• 5-8 years of relevant experience in real estate, private equity, asset management, or related fields; both public and private sector experience preferred
• Expertise in data analysis, reporting, and handling large data sets
• Strong business acumen and passion for the real estate sector
  
  

Compensation: Salary: $125,000 – $175,000, Plus Bonus
