Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Test Technician III to support the testing, troubleshooting, repair, and validation of electronic products and systems in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic skills, experience working with electronic test equipment, and the ability to support production, engineering, and quality teams to ensure products meet performance and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform advanced testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic assemblies, components, and systems.
• Diagnose and resolve product failures at component, board, and system levels.
• Execute test procedures and burn-in processes to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Configure hardware, software, and firmware according to engineering specifications.
• Perform module verification, system validation, and functional testing.
• Set up and troubleshoot complex systems, including disk arrays and network-connected equipment.
• Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, multimeters, and cable/harness testers.
• Support new product introductions (NPI), engineering builds, and process improvements.
• Assist with preventive maintenance, calibration, and qualification of test equipment.
• Analyze test data, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions.
• Train and mentor junior technicians on testing procedures and best practices.
• Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
Required Qualifications
• Associate degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Military Technical Training, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in electronics testing, troubleshooting, repair, or manufacturing operations.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, schematics, and technical drawings.
• Experience with electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot and debug issues at multiple system levels.
• Experience with software loading, firmware flashing, and system configuration.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and support cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills
• Experience in high-volume electronics manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of DOS, Windows, Unix/Linux operating systems.
• PCB assembly, soldering, wiring, and component-level repair experience.
• Familiarity with quality systems, process improvement initiatives, and manufacturing best practices.
• Previous experience training or leading technicians.
