Job Summary
The TSI Processor is responsible for managing all Texas Success Initiative (TSI) data and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and accessibility of placement information used for advising, enrollment, and academic decision-making. This position updates and maintains TSI records within the Student Information System (Banner), processes incoming assessment scores from online databases and submitted documentation, and applies or clears TSI holds in alignment with state and institutional requirements. The TSI Processor monitors and resolves errors in reports and workflows, provides timely and accurate data to advising, Records, and academic departments, and supports campus partners by answering process-related questions and assisting with score interpretation. Additional responsibilities include maintaining TSI-related resources such as departmental website content and internal guides, managing digital retrieval of transcripts and electronic admissions documents, overseeing the retention of physical admissions materials, and training staff on document imaging procedures and best practices. This role plays a key part in supporting student readiness, institutional compliance, and efficient admissions and placement processes.
Essential Job Functions
- Process and maintain all TSI data by updating the Student Information System (Banner), retrieving and entering placement test scores, applying and clearing TSI holds, and ensuring accuracy through regular review of TSI reports and workflows.
- Verify, record, and troubleshoot TSI and placement information by retrieving scores from online databases and submitted documentation, resolving data errors, and ensuring accurate placement and registration decisions.
- Provide operational support to advising, Records, and academic departments by supplying timely and accurate TSI data, answering process-related questions, supporting placement decisions, and notifying students of their TSI status and next steps.
- Maintain TSI-related resources and documentation, including updating departmental website content, internal guides, process documentation, and ensuring all TSI procedures and information remain current and accessible to campus partners and students.
- Manage document imaging and admissions record retention by overseeing digital retrieval of transcripts and other electronic documents, maintaining physical admissions materials in accordance with policies, and training staff on imaging processes and best practices.
Minimum and Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or a combination of equivalent experience and education may be considered for candidates actively pursuing their degree.
- One year or more of related experience in admissions, data entry, or office administration.
- Five or more years of related experience in admissions, data entry, or office administration.
- Experience with TSI processing is highly preferred.

- Skilled in reviewing admissions documents and making correct judgments on classification and placement of information.
- Strong ability to manage, file, track, and retrieve student documents efficiently.
- Ability to assist students with admissions questions, respond to inquiries, and provide clear guidance on missing documents or TSI requirements.
- Ability to work independently on data processing tasks and collaborate with team members for larger projects.
- This position may require working at a computer workstation for extended periods; occasional lifting of 10-15 pounds or more; pushing, pulling, and climbing; and regular use of headphones.
- Work is performed in a standard indoor office environment and typically does not expose employees to unpleasant conditions.
