Engage in and contribute to Cardinal Communities and STAR Services training sessions Participate in spring and summer training sessions with the Cardinal Orientation Team Collaborate with assigned ambassadors to co-facilitate Cardinal Communities seminars during the first part of the fall term Share your first-year experience with incoming students to help set expectations Ensure consistent weekly availability for mentees and respond to communications promptly (emails, Blackboard messages, etc.) Assist with seminar preparation, planning meetings, and accountability systems with ambassadors Maintain accurate time and effort logs and timesheets per payroll procedures Complete other relevant tasks as directed by staff
Completed a minimum of 20 credit hours, including at least 15 at Lamar University Must be enrolled as an undergraduate student for Fall 2025 Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or higher and in good academic standing In good judicial standing with no disciplinary action Strong reliability, responsibility, confidence, flexibility, and willingness to assist others Effective collaboration and communication skills with students, parents, faculty, and staff Proficiency with Blackboard and Office 365 Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
