LadyBug Academy in Arlington and Fairfax, VA is seeking a full-time Lead Teacher for several classrooms. The Lead Teacher will be responsible for lesson planning, daily care routines, child supervision, and ensuring a safe and welcoming classroom atmosphere. Responsibilities
- Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the Reggio Emilia philosophy
- Supervise and engage with children throughout daily routines
- Provide diapering and feeding assistance as needed
- Facilitate arts and crafts projects and other creative activities
- Organize and lead outdoor activities and nature walks
- Read stories and play educational games with children
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe classroom environment
- Monitor children’s safety and well-being at all times
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in early childhood education
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Knowledge of Reggio Emilia teaching philosophy
- Strong lesson planning and classroom management skills
- Understanding of child development and child safety practices
- Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
- Patience and creativity in working with young children
