Duties
- Supervise children during play, learning activities, meals, and nap times to ensure safety and well-being
- Implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment conducive to learning and creativity
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Assist with diapering, feeding, and basic health care needs for infants and toddlers
- Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and resolving conflicts effectively
Skills
- Proven experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), and pediatric first aid required or willing to obtain upon hire
- Familiarity with special education strategies and experience working with children with disabilities preferred
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to manage classroom behavior with patience and positive reinforcement techniques
- Experience with infant care, toddler care, and preschool activities highly valued
