Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble pantry items, including salads, cold appetizers, garnishes, and other cold dishes in accordance with menu specifications.
- Assist in menu planning and ingredient selection to ensure freshness and quality.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pantry area, adhering to food safety standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation of dishes during service hours.
- Handle food with care, following proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination.
- Support catering events by preparing cold dishes and platter arrangements as needed.
- Ensure all food preparation meets dietary guidelines and accommodates special dietary needs when required.
- Monitor inventory levels of pantry supplies and communicate needs for restocking.
Skills
- Proven experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred.
- Strong background in menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques.
- Experience working in fine dining or restaurant environments is highly desirable.
