Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hosts, and bartenders, ensuring efficient shift management and team performance
- Oversee food service operations, including food preparation, presentation, and ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Manage POS systems for order processing and cash handling with accuracy
- Conduct staff training and development to enhance service quality, food handling procedures, and safety standards
- Monitor inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing waste
- Maintain compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards across all front-of-house activities
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to ensure high guest satisfaction
- Assist with budgeting, cost control, and operational planning to optimize restaurant performance
- Support catering, banquet events, or special functions as needed to expand service offerings
- Lead by example in hospitality management practices, fostering a welcoming atmosphere for guests and staff alike
Skills
- Proven management experience within fine dining establishments
- Strong leadership skills with a background in team management, training & development, and supervising staff
- Extensive knowledge of food industry standards including food safety, handling, and production processes
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Toast and Micros POS; cash handling experience required
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues promptly and professionally
- Experience in restaurant management, including shift management, kitchen management, and hospitality operations
- Familiarity with inventory control, budgeting, and food cost analysis
- Culinary experience or kitchen management background is highly desirable
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and lead staff meetings effectively
