Nutritional Services Manager

Overview

La Vida Llena, Albuquerque’s premier upscale senior living community, is seeking an experienced Nutritional Services Manager with a minimum of 5 years of experience to lead our Nutritional Services team with the collective goal of providing exceptional care to our residents. A valid Food Handlers card is required and a ServSafe Food Safety Manager certificate is a plus.

Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification is preferred at the start of employment, but not required. Candidates must begin their certification within the first six months of employment. Completion is required within one year of employment.

Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000 / annually DOE

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide progressive performance management that includes timely team member appraisals, training, coaching, mentoring, and counseling, and support team members so they can be held accountable for abiding by all standardized practices, expectations, policies, and procedures set forth by you, your community, and PRS. Collaborate with your community’s Regional Recruiter and your Human Resources Department, and maintain workforce planning objectives by following company standardized hiring practices.
• Schedule and maintain proper Nutritional Services staffing levels needed to successfully sustain daily operations, as prescribed by your vision and expectations.
• Use the current nutritional analysis software to ensure health care menus exceed state/federal regulatory requirements and PRS standards of excellence with regard to nutritional care, food safety, and therapeutic diet needs, in collaboration with the Executive Chef and/or Dining Services Director. Use the current nutritional analysis software to keep resident profiles current as adjustments are made to diet orders and allergy groups.
• Work closely with the Registered Dietitian to ensure that resident care plans are being executed, nutrient needs for all residents are being met, and state/federal regulations are exceeded. Collaborate with the Health Services Administrator and interview residents, family members, and/or nursing team members to provide residents with an optimal level of nutritional care.
• Work collaboratively with the Dining Services Director to prepare annual budget for Dining Services. Adhere to the annual operations budget.
• Perform thorough monthly food safety/sanitation inspections of all kitchens where food is prepared (to include both non-state-regulated and state-regulated kitchens throughout the community) in accordance with PRS food safety/sanitation standardized practices and expectations.
